Research Use Policy

The terms on which materials supplied by PurePeps may be used, and the responsibilities of customers who purchase them.

Effective 23 July 2026 · Last updated 23 July 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to every product listed in the PurePeps catalogue and to any material discussed in correspondence with us. It applies in addition to our Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Intended laboratory research use

All materials supplied by PurePeps are supplied strictly for laboratory research purposes only, in a suitably controlled environment operated by a competent researcher.

Typical intended uses include in vitro characterisation, analytical reference, method development and comparable non-clinical laboratory work.

3. Prohibited uses

Materials must not be administered to humans or animals.

Materials must not be used as, or resupplied as, medicines, medical devices, veterinary products, foodstuffs, cosmetics or dietary supplements.

Materials must not be used for any diagnostic or therapeutic purpose.

Materials must not be resold, redistributed or supplied to third parties for any of the above purposes.

4. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for confirming that your intended use complies with applicable law and any local institutional, ethics, safety and biosecurity requirements.

You are responsible for ensuring that the personnel handling the materials in your organisation are appropriately trained and equipped.

You must not misrepresent the nature or intended use of the materials when placing an order.

5. Safe storage

Materials should be stored in accordance with the storage guidance shown on the applicable product page and any accompanying documentation.

Once goods leave our control, storage conditions cannot be verified, and it is your responsibility to maintain suitable conditions.

6. Batch traceability

Each stocked batch is identified by a batch or lot number. Where batch documentation has been received and reconciled, the batch identifier is displayed on the applicable product page and in the Documentation Centre.

7. Certificates of Analysis

Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) are supplied by manufacturers for specific production batches. Where a CoA has been received, reviewed and matched to the applicable stock, a redacted preview is displayed on the corresponding product page and Documentation Centre entry.

CoAs describe the analytical properties reported for the batch. They are not a statement of medicinal grade, sterility for administration, or fitness for use in humans or animals.

8. Independent laboratory testing

Where independent third-party laboratory testing has been carried out for a batch (for example third-party analytical reports), a redacted preview is displayed on the corresponding product page and Documentation Centre entry.

Where no such independent testing is currently available for a stocked batch, the Documentation Centre marks that documentation as pending, and the product page reflects the applicable documentation status.

9. Quality assurance

PurePeps reviews received batch documentation for internal consistency and matches it to the applicable vial stock before publishing it. Documentation that cannot be matched to stock is not published.

PurePeps does not itself manufacture the peptides and research compounds listed in the catalogue; documentation reflects information provided by the manufacturer and, where applicable, an independent third-party laboratory.

10. Reporting quality concerns

If you have a concern about the quality, integrity, packaging or documentation of a product you have received, please contact us through the contact form on our website. Where possible, please include your order reference, the batch number and any supporting photographs.

Concerns are handled in accordance with our Complaints Procedure and, where appropriate, our Returns and Cancellation Policy.

11. Refusal of supply

We may decline any order, in whole or in part, where we have reasonable concerns about the proposed use, the eligibility of the recipient, or compliance with this policy.

12. No medical or therapeutic claims

Nothing on the PurePeps website or in our correspondence is a claim that any material is safe, effective or approved for use in humans or animals.
