1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the use of the PurePeps website at purepeps.uk and to any order you place through it.
By using the site or placing an order you confirm that you have read these terms and the linked policies (Privacy, Cookies, Delivery, Returns and Cancellation, Research Use, Acceptable Use, Quality and Complaints).
2. Eligibility
Our website and products are intended for customers located in the United Kingdom only. We do not currently ship outside the United Kingdom.
You must be aged 18 or over to place an order. By placing an order you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Customers may include businesses, universities, laboratories and private researchers.
3. Who our products are for
All materials listed in our catalogue are supplied strictly for laboratory research purposes only. They are not medicines, are not medical devices, are not veterinary products, are not foodstuffs and are not cosmetics.
Products are not for human consumption, veterinary use, therapeutic use or diagnostic use. You are responsible for ensuring that any use in your setting complies with applicable law.
4. Pricing
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the final selling price for the product. PUREPEP LTD is not VAT registered and no VAT is charged.
Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout before the order is placed.
We may correct pricing errors and update prices at any time before an order is accepted.
5. Placing an order and formation of contract
Orders are placed online through the website. Adding items to your basket and submitting an order is an offer by you to purchase the listed products on these terms.
Any automated email or on-screen message you receive after submitting an order or completing payment is an acknowledgement that we have received your order. It is not acceptance of your order and does not form a contract.
PUREPEP LTD reviews every order before acceptance. A contract for the supply of goods is formed only when PUREPEP LTD sends a separate dispatch confirmation or an explicit written order acceptance. Where payment has been authorised before that point, we hold the authorised amount pending our review.
PUREPEP LTD reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order prior to dispatch, including after payment has been authorised, where there is reasonable concern regarding intended use, fraud, regulatory compliance, stock availability, pricing errors or a breach of the Research Use Policy or Acceptable Use Policy. Where payment has already been taken for a refused or cancelled order, the amount paid will be refunded to the original payment method.
6. Product information
Product descriptions, images, molecular data and reference information are provided for identification and research information only and do not constitute medical advice.
Specifications may vary slightly between manufacturing batches. Where available, batch-specific documentation and Certificates of Analysis are supplied or linked from the relevant product page.
7. Delivery and risk
Delivery details are set out in our Delivery Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Title to the goods remains with PUREPEP LTD until we have received payment in full for those goods.
8. Cancellation and returns
Cancellation and returns are covered by our Returns and Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in these terms reduces or excludes any right that you have as a consumer under applicable UK law.
9. Our liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude implied terms about condition, quality or fitness for a particular purpose where the material is used outside its stated purpose (laboratory research only).
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Data and privacy
Personal data you provide through the site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Business-to-business disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you deal with us as a consumer, nothing in this section removes the protection given to you by mandatory rules of the law of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts of that part of the United Kingdom.
